Dihydromyrcenol (DHM)

Dihydromyrcenol is the clean citrus freshness behind many modern men’s fragrances, sport scents and fresh detergents. It is powerful, stable and very good value.

Typical usage

Typical level in a fragrance concentrate: 2–20%. These are starting points, not limits. In finished products, dose the complete fragrance oil at the normal level for that product (for example around 15–25% in an alcohol perfume, 6–10% in candles and 1–3% in soap).

Blends well with

Linalyl Acetate, Linalool, Calone-type marine notes, Iso E Super, woods and musks. See all aroma chemicals.

Tips

• A few percent is enough to freshen a heavy blend.
• Very stable in soap, detergent and air-freshener bases.
